Did you ever lean in to give your Bulldog a kiss and wonder what that nasty smell was?
Many flat-faced dogs can develop a thick, pasty, crud in their folds and wrinkles. If left uncleaned it can irritate their skin and lead to ugly infections. Even if your dog's face is not gooey, tears trapped in wrinkles or facial folds can cause an unpleasant odor. FYI, dogs with inverted tails can have the same issue where their tail pushes back into their body. Trust me on this one, you want to catch it early.
